Xbox 360 Problems - Red Lights
...Don't you just hate it, you get all geared up to sit down and enjoy a few hours of playing your favorite xbox game and low and behold you are presented with the 'dreaded red ring of death' where there used to a series of nice green lights. Or what can be more frustrating is when you are part of the way through a level of your favorite game and the next segment fails to load and once again the red light ring shows it ugly face.
The good news is that this doesn't have to mean the end of your beloved console. It doesn't mean that you have to send it off for repairs and wait weeks for its return either. As the "red ring of death" has become so common, so have proposed solutions to fix your Xbox 360. The most common fix is to send your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft.
If your Xbox 360 is still under warranty, they will only charge you for shipping and will return your Xbox 360 within 8 weeks. If it is not under warranty, then Microsoft will fix your 360 for $140, plus shipping. While Microsoft says they will fix your Xbox 360 if it has been infected with the "red ring of death", they do not guarantee such a fix. So there is a chance that you send in your broken Xbox 360, spend over $140 and have nothing to show for it. This may not be your best option.
